Dirtroad Wild

Hello and welcome to Dirt Road Wild Flower Farm. I’m Teresa, farm wife and mom of two. Here on the farm we have 3 horses, 2 ponies, 1 dog and more spoiled cats than we know what to do with. Our life here with animals is pretty wild and crazy. We’re a small cut flower farm nestled along East Chain Lake in South Central MN on a gravel road that was the edge of the prairie years ago. A place where wildlife is abundant, horses roam pastures with abandon, roots run deep, souls run wild, and barn cats play and nest in the flowers as they bloom and sway in the warm summer prairie winds. A place you forge a bond with growth and nature. I’ve always had huge gardens full of vegetables and flowers and 10 years ago I started growing dahlias. I started taking them to markets and the response to the dahlias was overwhelming. I am going back to what keeps me rooted and growing more of many of the flowers I’ve grown over the years for cut flower production but dahlias steal the show here and I will always grow them in abundance. They are summers last show and there’s a reason why. They come in every size and shape and so many colors. There is a lot of work that goes with having them each year but it’s a soul filling, get your hands dirty, kind of passion farming that I love.
